1. Enable Video Filter Option

By default, the Zoom Video filters remain disabled. That’s the reason why it is not showing up while in a meeting or a call. Well, turn it back ON and see if this resolves the issue that you were struggling with. Here’s what you need to do to enable Video Filter Option on the Zoom application. 

  • Open any web browser and sign in to your Zoom account.
  • On the left navigation, you may find Settings just below “Recordings”. Well, click on it.
  • Head over to the right side and click Meeting (advanced).

2. Update Zoom App

Sometimes, when you are on an outdated version of the Zoom app, this may also cause video filters to not show up during calls or meetings. In order to overcome this problem, you must update the zoom app. Here’s how to get its executable file from the internet.

  • Launch the Zoom desktop program first.
  • Go to the top-right end, and click on your display picture.
  • When this menu expands, click Check for updates.

Note: To update the Zoom app on your smartphone, go to Google Play Store, search for Zoom, and then hit the update button. 

3. Turn On the Zoom Desktop Clients

Most of the time, you will find it pretty easy to apply video filters. It’s only in rare cases that users face problems while using video filters. If you are also facing this issue, you should install the desktop client on your computer. After the installation completes, launch the Zoom app, and see if you can now access the video filters. 

  • Open any web browser on your PC and visit https://zoom.us/download.
  • Download the latest version of the Zoom application.
  • As soon as the download completes, open the folder containing the setup file, and double-click on it.
  • Wait for a few seconds while the Zoom app installation completes.
  • Log into your Zoom account and see if you can now use the video filters during a call or meeting. 

4. Set up a Zoom account

One may join the Zoom meeting without even creating a proper account for this. If you are one such user, you should better sign in using your Google, Fb, or SSO account. To create an account, go to https://zoom.us/ and then click “Sign Up free”.

Now that you have created a separate account, check if can now use Video Filters whilst in a meeting or during a call.  

5. Reinstall the Zoom application

If none of the above methods work to resolve the Zoom app video filters on your PC, the problem may lie with the downloaded app itself. Well, you can always reinstall the Zoom app, and see if doing this fixes the issue that you were struggling with. Here’s how you may uninstall the Zoom app on your Windows PC. 

  • Press Win + I, and select “Apps and Features”.
  • The system will send you to the Settings page where you can see all installed apps.
  • Scroll down and look for the Zoom application.
  • When found, click the three dots beside it, and hit Uninstall.
  • If any confirmation window pops up, hit uninstall again.
  • Reboot your PC next so that any leftover files delete as well.

When the device restarts, visit https://zoom.us/download again and download the setup file. If you have already downloaded the latest version of the Zoom app, skip the downloading part. Right-click on its executable file, and hit Run as administrator. Let this software install successfully on your computer. Check if can now use the video filters without any issue during a video call or whilst meeting.
