With this feature added to the Windows Search, you can get web suggestions directly from Bing AI-powered ChatGPT. The only drawback to this is that it will occupy more space than it used to.

- Press Windows + X, and select Settings from the Power menu.
- Select Privacy & Security from the left navigation and head over to the right pane.
- Look for Search Permissions under the Windows Permissions section.
- When found, click on it and scroll down to the “More settings” section. You may find this section at the bottom of the Search Permissions page.
- Turn off the toggle switch next to Show Search highlights and you will find the Bing Chat AI removed from the search box.

- Right-click anywhere on the taskbar and select Taskbar settings.
- The system will redirect you to the following page under Settings –
Personalization > Taskbar
- On the right pane, use the drop-down menu inside Taskbar items, and change it to Search icon and label. When you select this option, the Search bar including the Bing icon will now be replaced with a search bar only.
- In case you would like to further shorten this search bar, select the Search icon only in the above step.
The taskbar will immediately adjust according to the option selected by you under Personalization > Taskbar.

If you have already started missing the new Bing icon appearing on the taskbar search and want to enable it back, use these steps –
- Press Windows + I to launch Settings.
- Go to Privacy & Security, and head over to the right pane.
- Scroll down to Search Permissions under Windows Permissions, and click on the same.
- Scroll again to the bottom and you will find the More Settings section.
- Enable the toggle switch available next to Show Search highlights.
