How do I solve Black Screen issue on iPhone

An iPhone is considered a very robust mobile, however, they may also get into issues like the Black Screen of Death error. In this post, we will discuss why such a problem occurs in iPhones and what are the possible ways to fix it.

Black screen of death error typically occurs on iPhones due to hardware glitches or some bad components. Whatever the issue in your case is, you must reboot your device first and check if this resolves the BSOD issue on your iPhone.

Fix – iPhone 12 Black Screen of Death Issue

To solve the black screen of death error in the iPhone, you may try the following fixes –

1. Force restart your iPhone

If you are getting a black screen issue on your iPhone, the first thing you should do is restart your smartphone. Don’t worry much as this happens when there are some glitches on the firmware.

Here’s how you may force restart your iPhone –

  • Quickly press and release the Volume Up button and then the Volume Down key. The moment you release the volume down button, press and hold the Power key for 10 seconds. Your iPhone will boot up next.
  • As soon as you see the Apple logo, release the Power button.
  • Now, wait till your iPhone completes the booting process.
  • When it reboots, check if you can see the normal screen or if the Black Screen issue is still there.

Though this should resolve the issue you’re struggling with, if it doesn’t, repeat the above steps a few more times. This is to ensure that your iPhone indeed goes under the force restart. In case it doesn’t turn ON even after this, try the next solution –

2. Plug in the Charger and force restart your iPhone again

There is a possibility that the battery on the iPhone drains out completely. If that’s the case, it doesn’t matter how many times you try to force reboot your iPhone, this will not work.

What you can do next is plug in the iPhone charger to its power port, and leave it on charge for the next 10-15 minutes. After the aforementioned time, check if you can now perform a force restart on your smartphone.

In case the problem is still there, it must be because of some hardware problems. Go and visit the nearby Apply service center and make them aware of your issue.
