How to install the New Media Player on Windows 11

Microsoft is currently working on a music app that goes by an old app’s name i.e. Media Player on Windows 11. The company had already rolled its first beta version for insiders in the Dev Channel. The only problem with this is that you have to become a Windows insider first and then upgrade your operating system to OS Build 22526.1000. As you are here, you must not be looking for ways to become an insider.

The new Media Player works exactly like its counterpart with a few quality changes and improvements to its interface. Moreover, installing this new player will replace the default music player on Windows 11 i.e. Groove Music app.

What’s new on the new Media Player?

Well, the tech giant has introduced several new features on its new app. A few of them are as follows –

  • Rounded corners
  • Semi-transparent items
  • Dark as well as Light color system models
  • Supports both audio and video playback
  • Allows creating a new playlist and adding your preferred items to it
  • Supports both Dark as well as Light themes
